April 09 40k hands/ $703 profit/ 11,500 fpp's
-
A lot happened this month, made platinum star the last day of last month. I didn't make it this month, But that's OK. I did manage to pull my game up a little bit running in the month at +3.3/100 BB/100 at NL25 over 40,000 hands. I managed to bring my stats from %14 vpip and %5 pfr w/ %10 steal pct. To %13 vpip and %9 pfr w/ %25 steal. I had my first two sessions with Nick Phillips. Got hooked up with Camtasia. And realized some important steps to help my game. Not only realizing them but focusing on fixing them.

Things partially fixed this month was increasing my steal %. And not being afraid to C-bet the shit out of every flop and give up when meeting resistance. "Stealing the blinds like its my job". Was the best quote I heard that when I put in that frame of mind made it easier to attempt. A big relief was finally proving that I could win at NL25 consistently. I know 40K hands is not considered a good enough amount to prove. A good amount being around the 100K range. Which if I set up a good routine this next month is a possible goal. In order to achieve platinum star again next month I think at this level. I would need to play 75K hands.

Goals for this next month:
1: Continue increasing my pre-flop-raise percentage bringing my stats to more of a 15/12/3 w/%70 C-bet.
2: Increase my steal percentage to at least %35-%40
3: Work on increasing my 3-Bet stat based off my opponents stats.
4: Work on more check raises of my opponents C-Bets
5: Prove that April was not a fluke and my game has evolved to this point
6: Work on raise sizes based of opponents ex. short stacker's
7: Playing against short stacker's better
8: Increase my BB/100 to +4/100 or better.

I think I need at the very least two more months at nl25 to help solidify my game. And then possibly another month to help focusing on attaining maximum value through some deeper multi level thinking. I will probably be making another appointment or two w/ Nick Phillips after I focus on my game a little more.
